@eracode any tips or tricks that might make playing CP2077 a bit more fun? I don't really know what's going on most of the time :) There is so much going on, hard to know what to focus on. I did go around and collect some cars, and have been doing a few of the side missions, but I'm just not 'getting' it. Did it take you a certain amount of time to get the hang of it?

I did restart it after playing about six hours because I realised I hadn't been playing it properly - but now I'm not sure what it was I thought I doing wrong at the time.

TBH I thought it played very much like games of that type - Assassin's Creed, RDR2, Ghost of Tsushima etc. Follow the story line plus do plenty of side missions and street missions to get points, gear and so on. Fairly standard stuff and not complicated.

One thing that did confuse me for quite a while was the weapons and inventory system which is clumsy. I kept accumulating too much stuff and found it a bit difficult to know what to ditch and what to keep. In the end I pretty much stopped picking stuff up - unless it was obviously a better/more valuable weapon/garment and I kept using the good ones I already had. The weapons upgrade system was also a bit confusing at first.

As mentioned here some time ago, I thought it was an excellent game and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Was sad when i finished it.

Hang in there - worth it IMO. Maybe don't try to over-think it.

Perhaps I am struggling a little the same way with so many weapons and mods and things, it doesn't seem.... straightforward like some other RPG type games I've played.

I'll persist, but if it's not 'better' within another 3-5 hours of gameplay I might just put it down to not my cup of tea.

I got bored of RDR2 so I now play Two Point Hospital. 😁 A bit of a change.

@eracode does driving get better as time goes on? Cars are almost uncontrollable right now :)

Also I have been playing GTA5 again from scratch remastered, it's been fun.

I spent quite a bit of time googling to find how to change the sensitivity settings for the thumbsticks and it did make a huge difference to the driving. I managed to get quite good at it.

Just remembered why I restarted the game. I realised I was only doing main story missions and not side missions and street missions, not picking anything up much etc. I like to wring as much as possible out of these games and initially was not achieving that.

When I finished CP77 I too bought the remastered edition of GTA5 and played that - even though I had done the original back in 2013. Still really enjoyed playing it again - had forgotten a lot of the story etc. The driving mechanic in GTA5 is excellent IMO. Just finished it a couple of weeks ago  - now scratching around for something new to play - not much there for me right now.

Yep - bin there, done that. Very good.

I've bought a game called Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 for PS5. I like stealth/sniper-type games but this isn't grabbing me. Got to give it more time.

Have been thinking about Stray - but hmmm, meh.

I've been scratching around for a good new game to play on the PS5 since finishing H:FW and am struggling to find anything that grabs my interest. I've been dipping into my "never played before" Steam games and giving them a go as well as playing some old favourites like Football Manager, Stellaris and CIV 6. Now if I could only get Sim Golf working I'd be a happy lad.

Well I was very wrong about Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2. Stupidly I had judged it based on the tutorials  - which you have to do first.

I’ve now spent a good part of a day playing the first proper mission of the main game. Still taking a bit of time to get to grips with it but I now think that for me it’s going to prove to be a very good game.

It’s by no means a AAA but it’s a solid and sensible first-person sniper/stealth game. Graphics, resolution and fps (4K @ 30 fps, or 1080p @ 60 fps - or any combination in between that you like) are right up there for a PS5 game and the controls are simple and logical.

Pleasantly surprised and keen to get on with it.

Sniper Elite 5

Not sure it’s as good as 4.

Just finished R&C: Rift Apart to Plat. Will go back to Bloodborne while I look for a cheap copy of the Quarry.

So I have been playing GTA5 remastered on PS5 as previously mentioned. I don't recall large sections of it, or they have changed a hell of a lot since I played it back in the day. Some mechanics in the game are truly awful still but it's still mostly playable.

You can switch characters and it shows you a number of missions available to you, though 2 of my 3 characters have 1 mission available and I can't see it anywhere, it's kind of annoying.

I see the new Saints Row is out in August, that should be a bit of fun.

From memory, certain missions only appeared at certain times of day.
