This _should_ block data on V3.0 iPhones for web traffic which most applications seem to use like yuotube, stocks, maps, weather, itunes, appstore etc except for email which still works but just set your iPhone to Manual Pick up if you are using it..

Can someone try it on vodafone

http://www.unlockit.co.nz/nodata.mobileconfig

and let me knowwhat you think..

Hi - sorry to bring up another item in this thread, but I'm finding that my 3G iPhone running 3.0 is checking for new email when I start up the mail application, even tho' I have 'Fetch' switched off & under the 'advanced' option in the Mail settings I have it set to 'manual'. This is when connected to wi-fi - could people please verify whether they're finding that their phones always check for new mail when launching the mail app??. I'm not sure whether this still happens when on 3G only...
Thanks.

Cheers,
Mike

I have been told you can choose NZ - Black & White at my unlockit.co.nz website and it will block data for vodafone customers like the FakeAPN used to do. The reason for this is B&W is a virtual Carrier under Vodafone and a vodafone customer cannot use their APN so thus it blocks data.

@lennon - using Black & White APN (www.m2.net.nz) does the job of blocking data while Edge is turned on nicely. Cheers
