richms: Without an option to set the threshold for detecting any other networks I don't see how auto is much use.
MadEngineer: there's lots of regulatory limits set to wifi, especially when you're running it outdoors. some have been required to have the function of turning off transmit when scanned by radar. can't be upsetting them low-flying F16's now!

DFS is to stop your radio causing interference to weather radar, ie that used to form the rain radar images.
