OK thanks. I can get the radio stations but they cut in and out. The best way I can describe the radio reception it is like trying to watch live tv on a computer that is not on broadband. I checked the strength of sky and it was 78 and 72 . The sky decoder give a good picture and sound at that. The dish is the old round one. I will check the other stuff you suggested. Thanks guys... sorry for being such a pain
Hey Guys. Thanks very much for your continued assistance. It just goes to show that an old pensioner can always learn new tricks. The dish is a round one ( not oval) . I made a slight adjustment to the bracket holding it and now I can get a picture on the freeview. It just needs a further slight adjustment and i'm sure it will be spot on. FYI , I ended up with the following settings. Sat d1 Sat longitude 160.0 LNB power - auto LNB type - user LNBFreq 1 - 10750 LNBFreq2 - 11300 22k - OFF Freq - 12671 polar - H
Also, you have mentioned several times that the dish is round - pretty much every sky dish is actually slightly oval (fractionally taller than wide).
It is the shape of the LNB (not the dish) that is important. The LNB is the little box that the wire goes in to that is on the end of the arm of the dish. The shape of the end that faces in to the dish is what is important.
Round = 11300 for both of your frequencies Oval = 10750 for both of your frequencies
EDIT: Here's a site that has a few pictures of the various LNBs, so hopefully you can ID yours.
As background info, Sky don't not use the universal type LNBs seen overseas that have two LO frequencies, which is why you need to enter the same frequency in to both boxes.
