Moving into an apartment for a few months which has no fibre/VDSL, Vodafone will allow me to use an existing modem and will sell me a sim card for 4G internet without having to purchase a new $250 modem. Skinny does something similar but I have to transfer a previous account to my name. Doesn't make financial sense to sign up for a 12 month contract or to buy a $250 modem for a few months use.

Many thanks.

This option is good if you are a VERY LOW USAGE user

Oh thanks, I'll be working from the apartment so will probably need at least 200gb or otherwise just unlimited.

Yeah skinny jump won't work for you. Curious. Where is this apartment? Auckland Metro CBD? There maybe a reseller that can do FW such as wireless nation, there's no contract but the catch is that you have to pay $199 up front for the modem, 30 day notice to leave, uses VFNZ network(if I remember correctly).

Hit them up.

The Vodafone 4G sim option maybe another good option but their consumer pay monthly plans only go up to a 100GB before throttling. Unless they've offered you something even more sweeter.

Thank, just looked Wireless nation plans, seem much more expensive than vodafone ($89 vs $55) , actually I should be ok with 300gb a month with vodafone (also no term contract), just need to get a 4G modem, rather not fork out the $250 for 3 months usage but looks like I will have to.

Skinny datacaps too low.

2degrees is another option if I have to buy a new modem.
