I suggest the OP votes with their feet.

Sky = crap compressed subscription TV with way too many ads, advertising SKY to their own subscribers. Not to mention overpriced and every little extra is charged at excessive rates.

Therefore I do not use SKY.

Instead I use Freeview Terrestrial which is less compressed, and HD for free.

If Freeview has nothing on, then I just watch a video file existing on the PC.

At the end of the day I am not out of pocket and Sky has nothing in their pocket from me.

rossmnz: I cant really understand what OP is on about - but it has always struck me as strange that you do not own the hardware with sky.

Interestingly, when I did a "Prime only" install about five years ago (I think it was $155), at no point was I told that I wasn't actually buying the hardware. I'm no legal expert but I wonder whether it was legally a sale since I wasn't informed otherwise.

Mayas well throw my 2 cents worth in the ring...what really gets me about Sky is that they charge extra/month for ever for a Mysky plus box when all it has is a larger hard drive which would still be much cheaper than the original Mysky boxes.

Feel much better now....

Maybe we need a special non moderated rant thread...

Dear OP,

I would try and offer some comment and help if I could usefully contribute.

The trouble is, I can't figure out what your complaint is, what you are upset about, or whether or not you have a bona fide point about the way Sky may or may not have treated you. However, Sky isn't compulsory, so if you are really that upset you should just cancel.

If you have a genuine point that you are trying to make, or are seeking some help, I suggest that you re-do your post. Some things like paragraph breaks, spelling, grammar, and actual sentences would make it a lot easier to follow. It's awfully hard to appreciate any point you may have, or offer any help you may be seeking, when your post is that incomprehensible.

Did you still get the work order paper from the technician? (You should have)

If so, you might want to read the back - it's the Standard Domestic Subscriber Terms and Conditions covering the entire back of the page in 8pt light grey font.

No, I didn't get any documentation at all (I was expecting to get something and was surprised not to, but didn't say so to the technician).
