KieranfromLightbox:huckster: Can I add the fact that the connection to Chromecast is lost/restored message which sits over the bottom of the screen (of the android device) hangs around a lot and needs to be swiped/touched over and over again to get rid of it - even after viewing has stopped, Chromecast has been disconnected and Lightbox exited (gracefully)?
When will the Beta be available?
The connection message is designed to be displayed for 2 seconds - although if the connection is dropping in & out it may persist. How long is the message persisting?
Hoping to have the beta made available today so testers can use it over the weekend - but no guarantees at this stage.

If appears that they do not disappear automatically - they seem to queue up. I.e. if it thinks it has lost then reconnected it seems to want to display the lost message until you acknowledge it then it will display the reconnected message.
After 40 minutes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, there are sometimes a dozen such messages that cover the bottom of the screen.

nothing????
MikeAqua: I get the same with an S4 and 4.4.2
I'd be keen to test the beta, with the caveat that I am just an every day LB user. Not any sort of expert.
insane: I'm fairly sure I got an email from AWS last week saying they have a new mobile device test-bed where you can test apps against hundreds of different devices in a few minutes.
Could come in handy for something like this
KieranfromLightbox:
Sorry - I missed this. Given that we have a bunch of other users with the same device model who aren't seeing the same error message, there may be something device-specific that's causing it. Do you have a bunch of other apps running in the background at the same time that might be maxing out device memory?
Also, is your device rooted, or parallel imported?
