John Drinnan:

Sky TV is playing down an upbeat analyst's note that says new internet TV platform iSky has a clear advantage because Sky has premium content "locked up".

First New Zealand Capital analyst Sarndra Urlich gives a positive appraisal to the new iSky launching on November 24.

Shame that Mr Drinnan has a different definition on "premium content" than the rest of the world.
AppleTV, Tivo, TVNZ, Mediaworks etc would like to disagree that Sky has all the premium content locked up and there is no premium content available on their platforms.
Last time I checked movies (at the very minimum) are premium content.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.  Wonder why no other provider wanted to make any comments for the article....... maybe they werent even asked!

Could be the fact that TVNZ on-demand is now able to stream at 1500kbs whilst iSky were planning to go to market at 1300kbs claiming they were the fastest around. Me thinks a bunch of promo material just got put through the shredder....
