Just shot over to Phonescoop on my other monitor and looks like the 6255i will be marketed at $270-00 to 299.99 USD retail. That would make it $420-00 NZD if Telecom stay inline with the rest of the world.

the 8100 isn't really a new phone. i'm not sure exactly but it's at least several years old, and was on Sprint for a long time.

the 8100 was ahead of it's time in features when first released, but was showing it's age by the time it came to telecom. (It still compared favourably with GSMs on the market back when it was launched)

I'm pretty sure it arrived here as part of the agreement between sprint and telecom.

Good to see the Telecom site now has the 8100 listed at $399. I think this price is far more realistic than $499, especially as they are probably now wanting to start clearing stocks of them.

The 4920 also appears to have dropped from $249 to $199.

Yea; those two were overpriced also. It's interesting that the Hyundai TX-115 is back up to $399. I thought the $299 price was permanent.

So did I, That's all it's worth.

Same with the Nokia 6585 i thought that was staying at 350 permanently.

Telecom probably adjusted their prices for Xmas on the tx115 although I agree the phone isn't worth $399-00. I suppose they thought the gap between the 7400 and the 115 flip phones where to large so they took the 115 up instead of the 7400 down. Alot of people will go into the shop and not know the 115 was cheaper and buy anyway. If I wasn't waiting waiting waiting I wouldn't know the day to day price of the phones.

Just a note about why mmc rather than sd. the mmc card is less for expanding your memory, and more about enabling applications and content. Isuspect Nokia will seel mmc cards with applications and content preloaded on them. The idea being that Nokia can then more easily supply content, and larger applications to the device (reducing the issues around OTA for large files and content.

don't expect to be transfering data from the phone to the card and visa versa, check this out if your interested in more ifo on this.

And Bluetooth enabled means, it's there, on the phone ready to go!

HI all,

Talking about new phone releases I went into Vodaphone 2day as I'm sick of waiting for the new phones to come out. The Sharp gxi30 flip looked good and the Nokia 7610 was only $550-00 odd, on a 3yr business plan (nice phone). Some nice phones there and at 1+ Megapixel. But I must say Telecom have a good deal on phones when they want you to resign for another couple of years. The girl I got didn't know to much about the business pricing side of things. I think if I got someone else I may have been tempted but still waiting for the 6255i as of this moment. But even so I still bothered to go in!! If Telecom don't do the 6255i for some reason I'll deffinatly go again!!

Well now we can all wait together for the Sony Ericsson K750i or maybe the w800i.
Or maybe the 3.0 megapixel motorola.
And after that... we'll be waiting for the... And will Sir be having Class 1 Bluetooth with that? Oh, yes please. ..
