Anyway, back to foreskin's lament. My point is that the foreskin is an evolutionary hangover that's had no purpose since male hominids began wearing clothes.

Not only does the foreskin have no purpose, it's a liability.

But let's hear from guys out there who have been circumcised.

Hands up those helmets who think they'd rather be an anteater.

I work with a gentleman who was so livid with his parents for mutilating him at birth without his consent that he went through a procedure to re-gain his foreskin. From what I gather, it involves stretching the skin around the penis until it is long enough to then stretch over the end. He freely admits that it was quite an arduous procedure but says it was absolutely worth it.

What a load of piffle and it is a 2010/2011 article. That doctor needs to go back to med school and learn about sciences new understanding of the "cells of langerhans" and sciences new understanding on how virus's and bacterium use vectors and invade the body then multiply and spread.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Yes but ... condoms. However much circumcision cuts down the risk of infectious disease, it's nowhere near as good as condoms, which also minimise the risk of conception.

As to hygiene if it retracts normally it's simple enough to wash under there every day in the shower. Problem solved.

Agree - A condom foreworn is a male forearmed (to paraphrase)

Some quite vigorous opinions here.

None so far (other than anecdotal) from 'helmet' males who lament the loss of their foreskin.

While I've had PMs from fellow Balanitis sufferers about their inability to find a lasting cure.

sorry, i'm finding this hard to believe. if he never had it (circumcised at birth), how could he possibly have missed the hood or know it was/would be better if it wasn't removed?

i'm also finding it hard to believe he can simply stretch the skin to cover the helmet. that's just impossible to do, looking at my own disco stick. i suppose size matters?

While I haven't had as close a look as perhaps his wife, yes. It certainty looked like an un-modified member.

Google "reclaim foreskin" (perhaps not on a work device , unless they have a great health plan!) You'll find a significant amount of articles about it, many talking about the emotional issues men can have around having a piece of their anatomy butchered at birth, and the feeling of "wholeness" around getting it back, even if the reclaimed piece isn't as sensitive etc as the original.
