Your ONT is connected to your router directly, right? I don't think your switch behind router has something to do with the drop outs.

Correct, the ONT is connected directly to the router. To be clear I don't think the switch behind the router is the cause of the drop outs, but only some performance issues hitting 2G download.

For the drop outs I am going to reach out and get Chorus to come and investigate, I suspect the light levels on my connection may be borderline (due to the twisting and rough install I have here when the ONT was swapped, as I had zero drop outs with the older ONT paired with the same UDM SE router)

Hey did you get anywhere with this? Im having the same issue

 ONT always on reduced.

Also since the Quic outage a few weeks ago I can no longer use DHCP auth, which was giving me faster network speeds. I have UDM Pro SE

Sounds like you've disabled IPoE in the control panel - see here: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=194&topicid=311869

Good morning @chrisallen.

I'm moving to hyperfibre soon and have an UDM PRO. Which SFP module did you end up using? Can't find them anywhere in NZ (i.e. Ubiquiti UACC-CM-RJ45-MG SFP+ to 10GbE RJ45 Multi-Gigabit Transceiver Module | Fibre Media Converters (gowifi.co.nz)).

And did you have to buy a CAT6A cable?

Just trying to be prepared for when they install it :)

Cheers!

Found an option (Mikrotik S-RJ10 Module) here.
