^^^ I think you meant DVD

The service centre that said they couldn't help probably meant "we could but Panasonic have stopped paying us to do it." They used to unlock them before they got sold, why they changed to only if a customer asked is anyone's guess.

Ahuriri62:

I have one of those special remotes for the Panasonic DVD players.

I last used it about 8-9 years ago, it may work for you.

Its yours if you want to try it, just PM me your address and I can sent it to you.

Ahuriri62 has offered this remote :) so I will give a go and see if this works when it gets here :)

If all else fails, you can buy a Laser brand multiregion DVD player from amazon.com.au for AUD$37 delivered at the moment.

I am happy to give it a go, not sure how it will work with my ub820! But at this point I am willing to try anything :) I will message my address :) I am happy to pay something for it, and shipping :)

THIS WORKED!!! Its all going fine now! Magic! My care worker had to walk me through it cause I couldn't do it myself but gave it a second chance and it worked, so the first must have been user error!

Seriously Ahuriri62, you are the most awesome person in the world right now to me.
