Hi all,
I'm really new to this and I'm not even sure where the best place to post is so forgive me if I'm wrong.
I have media center PC running windows 7 (build 7201 x64) and a work PC running Vista x64 on the same home network. I have setup a newcs server on the vista machine (v.1.65), reading my legit S*Y UK card from com1 and on the media PC I have installed Acamd (0.6.0.3) into the plugin directory of DVBViewer (4.1.1.1). My intention is for themedia pc to decode my sky channels using acamd to access the newcs server over my home netowrk. I do not intend to install the server on the media pc nor do I want to share the card anywhere else - just on my home network. I don't want to use acamd as the card reader as I want to add another media pc/extra tuners and will eventually run the newcs server on a separate low-power box (assuming I ever get it working). The system works fine with dragon cam and card so it's just the newcs/acamd bit I'm struggling with.
The newcs server appears to operate correctly (bearing in mind I've never seen a working one!) and shows the output below. Acamd seems to do 'some stuff' but doesn't actually decode anything. The last part of it's debug screen is also below. I can be fairly certain that I've got either the newcs.xml or the acamd cardclient.conf incorrect (or more likely both) but google as I might, I cannot find any exapmples of what they should look like on a system like mine. I would really appreciate it anyone could offer any advice on this particular setup and would really appreciate it if they could share some suitable newcs.xml and cardclient.conf files.
Thanks in anticpation.
