cbdkid: Vista Ultimate is installed on this PC.
Its a bit thicker than a P100 but I think its about the same weight as the P100.
The cdrom drive sounds a bit weird when it is reading, maybe something to do with hd dvd drive? Not sure how to describe the sound.

The cords and stuff are all over on the left side of the notebook which is a bit weird and the power cable looks like a ps/2 plug. The powerpack is huge too.

It comes with a Norton trial I think, it was on the desktop but I did not use it as I have TrendMicro already. Already deleted Norton.

Haven't installed any games yet still updating antivirus and installing more important stuff like msoffice. Have assignments due this Friday which I haven't even started lol.

The wallpaper in my background is from the anime Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.

edit: it doesn't come with recovery dvd, you have to create them.

Well thats good news to the ears that Norton Is not Pre Installed because the first thing I would ove done is taken it out and installed my antivirus/firewall program BitDefender Internet Security V10 (Man its a beast of a program). But funny enough Its still not listed on the Toshiba NZ Web Site geesss whats taking them so long? And whats the official specs on the graphics card.

Thanks for answering - what's up with no recovery DVD?  I am sure it doesn't cost them much money to produce one.  Oh well, we will have to create it ourselves.  You should do that before anything goes wrong (touch wood).

Does it run quietly?

Also, what is the maximum score you can get on the Vista rating?

Yep, it is 4.8.  So 5.0 is the max overall score?  How about the max scores for the other ratings, like processing, graphics, memory, etc?

Cool man, no worries.

Wow, I am surprised.  How can this beast of a machine not rate close to 6?  Oh well:) I don't think I have seen anyone scoring over 4.8.

Yes, but what are the MAX possible scores for processing, graphics, memory, etc? Anyway, according to Azza08, the max scores are 6.0 for each. All good.

Still trying to figure out how to use all the utilities it comes with, the volume control is a bit weird, you can keep turning it non stop and I can't find anything to control the subwoofer yet. Not sure if Outlook 2007 does this but it keeps talking when new emails come in, duno how to turn it off could be vista ultimate.

edit: just noticed theres this intel turbo memory and intel matrix storage manager, never seen this before.

You have X new messages.
You have mail.

The speaker system is so good on this too. I don't know how to describe sound stuff though :(.

That's neat how it can say how many messages you have. I use 2007 on XP and it doesn't "talk" to me like that. Must be a Vista feature.

I am sure you can turn that off - should be in the options somewhere.

Is the notebook running quietly?  Does it get hot underneath?
