Damn I couldn't resist testing out some games on this machine.
Tested out counterstrike source on it with no color correction and no AA, no bloom and no filtering or something and all other settings at max.
The notebook played it with fps varying from 100-150fps depending on where you were, how much movement etc. Not sure if you would consider the CPU under load while in counterstrike source but it was around 61-63 degrees. Haven't got rivatuner yet to check the graphics card temps.

Well it runs WoW well. Better than the P100 did I think. 100+fps, in ironforge have to give it about 5 seconds to load when outside the bank and its all above 70+. Thats with AA and everything. I'll test CS again and DOD :).

Saw this about Bioshock.

Bioshock demo is beautiful at 1440x900 (native res for me)
I have everything on. (x205-S9349)

Frame rate is usually above 24 and rises to 35+, but falls to 15 sometimes... credit given where credit is due... the game engine makes even 15fps feel playable. Not once did I feel the game engine was in my way to enjoy the game... No stuttering or waiting except the original load times to begin the demo. Let me put it this way, I actually didn't believe fraps when it said 15fps the first time... it most definitely didn't resemble 15fps in any other game I have played.

I HAD to update to the 163.44 drivers with a modded inf to play. Playing with the original stock drivers at stock clocks resulted in crashes all over the place with most of them being before I even started the game.
With stock drivers plane crash = game crash.

This of course disables overclocking... the 8700 being such a massively good overclocker, this hurts quite a bit.
I am confident that returning my 24% core OC and my 34% memory OC will help with the frame rate.

Bioshock apparently runs fine though people having issues with drivers where some can install certain ones and others can't. The US machines are a bit weaker the J022 though I think specs wise.

Depends a lot where abouts you are and how much people you are looking at I think. I was on an australian internode 32 player server this morning when I took these playing de_dust2.

Wow, good stats there. I reckon anything above 25 fps is enough:)

You are right, the US system is a lot weaker. They have T7100 processers (vs. T7700) and only a 256mb dedicated card.

Wonder how many here have ordered or are going to get one of these. I doubt theres even 50+ in the country I think. Going by the fact that Harvey Norman and Portables Plus are the only ones who have them and Harvey Norman only keeping one in each of their shops.

edit: something else I noticed, I can't get the speakers to crackle like they did on the P100 no matter how loud I set it, it just won't crackle just really good sound.

Haven't tried HD movies, I don't have any. I would say the notebook can play most power hungry games available acceptably. I might pick up bioshock sometime to see if it lives up to its ratings.

Well I finally got mine today and man OHHHHHH (dribbles) bummer theres no software cd/dvds that come with it its all stored on the HDD so if a virus gets in your Fu**ed but mus say very nice machine. What I cant understand is I get a 4.7 score on and your a 4.8?? same machin but slightly diffrent figures.

Very pleased haha. You could get something better for less if you got a desktop but you don't usually see such powerful notebooks in NZ imo. When are you getting yours? I just installed warhammer closed beta and it runs it fine too.

Hay I know how you feel after waiting & waiting for mine I was starting to wonder if I was ever going to get it.

Im still happy I got this lil beauty but VISA?? most of my software (incredimail, clone dvd 4.1 , Download accelerator plus & others work but keep crashing or playing up. Still trying to figure out how to run the bad boy & still finding out more information about this every day like the memory on this instead of normal RAM Vista turns it in to cach memory and trys to keep if full with most of the programs u use or will most likely use. I love the finger print scanner keep playing with it all the time. I have it currently connected to my wireless and i get a better connction from ths laptop than i do from my own desktop which is closer to the router and the network card installed in it is manafactured by the same people who make the router (BELKIN). Im a lil anoyed that the office products are only a trial they could of at least supplied you with the full basics word,power point, outlook.

Hay CBDKID how you finding yours I havent put any games on mine yet. just been playing the O.E.M games that came with it.
how do you find the sound quality its quite good i find but could do with a lil more bass but being a compact design the vibrations may cause problems in the future.

I posted previously about having a 4.7 base score now it say 4.8 and Heavenly The top rating is 5.9 not 6.0 my mistake again.

I'm playing WoW again, runs it flawlessly. All I need is WoW. Might get Bioshock when it comes out but I'm a bit afraid of the whole driver thing, if I use latopvideo2go drivers I won't be able to use all those toshiba flash cards and hibernate etc controls I think.
