heavenly_wild: Has anyone checked into a Harvey Norman store this weekend to find out when the new laptops are arriving? ETA still end of the week or?

Yea still the same. Have to wait for the end of the week for this model anyway not to sure on the others. Was not told an exact date. But still a lil boy waits :)

I am sure all the new notebooks will arrive at the same time. Keep us updated won't you? I cannot wait either! Sensational stuff, haha.

By the way, how do you check whether the video card is a GDDR2 or GDDR2?

I believe if the shops don't have it by tomorrow then we will have to wait until next week.  Usually, stock does not arrive in the weekends mainly because most delivery trucks only operate during weekdays.

Let's hope I am wrong, haha.

I was at Portables Plus in Greenlane, Auckland yesterday, and they have it in stock and have done for a few days.

Sweet!  Do they actually have stock there at the showroom or is it through the distributors?  I haven't been there so I am unsure what their setup is.  Anyway, good news to see it available.

I am surprised they actually stock this model because usually retail models are only sold through retail and not available through business channels.

Yeah, both NL and HN have different specs for the same notebook model.  Hmm, let's see if it is there tomorrow in the retail stores!

NL states on their website that it has a 8700M card, whereas HL states 8800M card.  Either or, both are very impressive and can handle any game that is out there right now.

I am sure it will absolutely breeze through the test.  Will do the test when I get my hands on it!
