DXNZ:mattwnz: If you have 8 addresses, using web hosting which comes with email maybe a far cheaper option, as most will come with at least 10 email accounts
We have web hosting with the email accounts. The problem is that xtra/yahoo won't let you use your own domains outgoing server when using them as an ISP (or so I am told), only send.xtra.co.nz. I can use my own at home on Vodafone, but not at work on Telecom or tethering from my Telecom phone.
Have been painfully through the process of registering and approving each new address with xtra/yahoo everytime there is a staff change to get their email working.
They block port 25. Your webhost should offer SMTP on another port over SSL, Use that and it will not be blocked by telecom.
Also check your incoming server is set up to use SSL while you are at it. Some web hosts will not let you put your own cert on the mail servers (mine doesnt) so you may have some certificate issues, but SSL with a manually allowed wrong cert is a hell of a lot more secure than clear text access to the server.
