I'm just going to hang this out here, these guys have been seriously responsive in regards to this trial! I got really quick genuine responses to several emails today, this is looking very promising!

Can't wait to churn from my current provider

Alright, connected and working well :)

Will post up some speedtest results if I'm allowed to disclose trial speeds?  - suffice to say it's fast :D

I've agreed to the terms on an NDA, so I won't without an official BigPipe Rep giving the go ahead. - I only opted for a 100/50 connection as my currently router can't go any faster, and it's likely what I'd sign up to after the trial. It also gives me a pretty good comparison to the service I was getting with my previous ISP.

To anywhere in NZ or AU it makes your Vector connection look slow :p

Willing test subject for when you eventually need UFF testers.

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.

These were the ones I did the other night which I emailed through. Obviously it's a single point in time but from what I've seen the speeds don't seem to fluctuate at all :) . I'll try some more destinations when I'm at home next

Worth pointing out I'm on a 100/50 service.

Nice.  (I freaked a little when I saw the first one, then realised it was to Oregon)

The reason (I believe) you are getting more than the 100/50 to NZ is because you are on the new Chorus commercial 100/50 plan, instead of the regulated 100/50 plan, which every other ISP is still selling (AFAIK)

The regulated 100/50 plan provides 100/50 at layer 2, which means by the time you add in various ISP overhead, your actual speed normally drops to somewhere in the 90s.

The new chorus plans are 'right performing' which means you get provisioned at above the 'spec' (e.g. you get 110/55 or something like that) then the ISP overhead reduction means you still get 100Mbps. Pretty cool huh :)

Could you post a test to LA, and London please. Keen to see those too.

!

That's fast! Although, your speeds will look slow when I show you N4L 500Mbps speedtest :P
