100/100 is not enough, even after hours I can't get the full speed, and the wifi is absolute CRAP.

He is actually.
Not sure on the ping. I think speedtest.net sometimes reports our IP addresses as being somewhere else in the country and does some funny routing because of it. Sometimes when I run speedtest it tells me i'm in New Plymouth :P

so the pings are normal outside of speedtest.net? wonder why that is happening...

Wouldnt be surprised on geoip location..



Across all the IP databases, they just cant make up their mind for mine..

Onehunga for me.  My place seems to be in a 'black hole' for UFB coverage (no 'plan' yet), but I do get 45Mbps VDSL, so that's pretty good in the meantime.
