I have been looking through the cache farm and i cant see any errors there.
I also cant replicate this fault, so looks like it is a somewhat isolated issue.

The farm is looking normal as far as i can tell but i will keep an eye on it and this thread just incase.

I too am having problems with overseas sites not loading; the usual Amazon, ebay, CNN (intermittantly) and most others loading exceptionally slowly, inlcuding my own www.bbbcubed.com; this has been ongoing since yesterday.

I rang Telecom this morning and the lovely Philipino lady confirmed that there is some kind of problem, but they don't know what it is. She is going to call me back, so will post once I have heard back from her....

Craig

ps should add that I have problems on both pc's on network, two different AV's and issue occurs with IE, Firefox and Chrome.

I'm in Christchurch, our ISP is Telecom and we are on an ADSL2 cabinet.
For the last approx 3 days our internet has been so unreliable. Some websites load fine, some websites have parts missing, others don't load at all and others take forever!

International websites appear to be worse, but it took around 5 mins to load this page so I could post this.

I've been having issues in Northland. Seems that most national sites I've tried are fast, international pings and downloads are OK but browsing international sites is painfully slow - minutes to load if at all.

a common error currently

Safari can?t open the page ?http://www.kmart.co.nz/?s_kwcid=TC|12239|kmart||S||7188911493? because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.

Exact same problem here in Auckland. I've tried accessing Amazon.com like other people in this thread, but a blank white page just gets displayed. The same thing happens when trying to read certain private messages on forums too, or when trying to click the 'Convert' button on xe.com. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one in this situation.

I've tried calling Telecom three times this morning and after being on hold for exactly 6 minutes each time, it attempted to ring through but then disconnected me......

If I go to amazon.com nothing loads. However, if I go to an amazon link with an extension on the end (such as www.amazon.com/b/ref=sv_vg_8?ie=UTF8&node=2404622011) it loads perfectly fine.

This is very frustrating.....

I found with Twitter turning off the 'new version' made it fast (viewable) otherwise I just get a blank page with only the twitter header.

Anyone here have 'direct' kudos with the Telecom technical team to just let us know if there is an issue and how long we have to be subjected to the dialup style page viewing?

Exactly the same here, internet barely working, and the 3 attempts to get technical support on 0800 22 55 98, disconnects when it rings thru!

A pain in the arse, and completely unacceptable!

This link is not working for me at all.  I just get a blank page:

http://soldiersystems.net/2010/12/04/surefire-magazines/

Facebook refuses to load some thumb-nails and www.xtra.co.nz is incredibly slow.

Well here it is, 3 hours after my call to Telecom and I am still awaiting my promised call back (within the hour); that doesn't surprise me, but what really annoys me, is the failure to acknowledge on their service status page that there are any problems with their network.....
