@solutionz have you an updated script that works with the be B26 firmware from Vodafone. Looks like the keys have changed.

http://help.vodafone.co.nz/app/answers/detail/a_id/27703/

I've upgraded to Fritzbox 74090 and not looking back!, lol

However this firmware update may give some of the HG659's a new lease on life..

What's the problem? Does the config file not decrypt?

Looks like the new firmeware has different AES keys for the config backup so the existing script won't decrypt the configuration.

Steve113:

is it possible to turn on SNMP or NetFlow from the Console options of HG659 please?

Id be very interested to capture this type of traffic.

Hi Steve113,

I've just had a look at this myself (SNMP/etc).
There's nothing in the HTTP web menu's, nor anything in the decrypted config file except for the SNMP UDP port declaration for firewall rules/etc.
Can't see any SNMP service unfortunately.

There's no SNMP process running when run ps at the terminal (ssh -> sh).
Can't see any SNMP related files in any directories either.

Shame we can't get OpenWRT or something on this instead.

I was looking to get DSL sync speeds etc via LibreNMS or some monitoring suite, so may make a script to ssh in and run appropriate xdslcmd.

There is an updated config decrypt/encrypt script here that has the new keys for the newer Voda 26 firmware https://pastebin.com/qaLL6qTz

And a write up about finding the keys here: https://hg659.home.blog/

But it doesn't help to get shell access (yet).
