my workmate got one yesterday, he says he tops his phone up $20 every two months.. so this isnt thanking the best customers, more like picking numbers at random..

tomisbetterthanu: I'm on 2Degrees vodafone and telecom. Got a old CDMA phone for texting and 2degrees when I go over my vodafone plan limits. My iPhone is mainly on vodafone, but I have a old 2G iPhone so I can't switch to telecom. but if telecom releases the iPhone I will leave vodafone without hesitation. Unless vodafone gets some decent iPhone plans. for $60 I think I deserve more than 200 texts and 250 mb. The free 3GB of data is nice, but that ends this month. A few hours ago I realized that my phone uses data without telling me , (even if I change the APN it still works) therefore I'm being charged a dollar a day so I will get a broadband lite plan, but on account I need to talk to someone instead of just texting and I couldn't add it on my vodafone :(

Are you expecting your iphone to say hey dude I am about to use some data in a robot voice?

If it were a 3GS, it might just do that given that every 3GS comes with a built in screen reader for blind people.

So seeing as you work for Vodafone will that make you ineligible once it's known what this is all about?

I don't directly work for Vodafone, as I work through a Dealer. But this is on my personal phone which I have had for ~8 years.

I received the TXT too, I'm on the iPhone 60 plan (3G not 3GS). Hopefully it's some kinda deal to upgrade to the 3GS - I want video recording so am tempted to buy either the 3GS or a new iPod nano.

I got one and im on the iPhone 2G, non iPhone plan. Id suggest its something data related.

Possibly data price drop or a different type of data package (500mb for $20 per month or something).

Ill be interested to find out. Definately piqued my curiosity.

Oi! I thought you didn't know about this top secret experience?

A new data plan with a slightly lower price and higher caps would be nice :)

I got the text as well and I have data (GPRS/WAP/whatever) turned off on my phone. So I doubt it's data related.
Kind of interested to see what it is, but I'm not holding my breath for anything more than a token "thanks" from VF.
