eugeneykc:BrentR: Running a company on prepay sounds far from fun.
Actually I think 2degrees prepay is pretty much close to postpay for most small to medium enterprises in NZ....
1. There is auto monthly topup?
damianf: how's that for a Freudian slip?
Dratsab:damianf: how's that for a Freudian slip?
It's not a Freudian slip at all. A Freudian slip is when you say one thing but you mean my mother...
All joking aside, it's a shame that when companies grow so large within a domestic market they lose sight of why they're there in the first place. It'll be interesting to see what 2Degrees are like 10+ years down the track...
Ham: Yeah I dont see myself signing up for 2 years again.. Plus I have no idea how I'll use my phone in 2 years, text might be outdated by then with instant messaging the way things are going

NonprayingMantis: horses for course really. some people like the subsidy you get with the contract, some people prefer the freedom to switch. whatever floats your boat. as long as both options are available then no one can really complain.
Just pick whichever suits you best

alasta: If you watched Target last week, even Paul Brislen admits that Vodafone has "just become in competent"!

Correct - however vodafone don't offer the freedom to switch - i.e. no open term contracts.
damianf: Update team - having run on 2degrees for two days now I'm very happy. It's amazing how snappy EDGE is compared to Voda 3G - only noticeably slower in a couple of traffic-heavy applications.
And not a single dropped call! I gave up ringing the Vodafone help desk about my dropped calls - they kept telling me it was my handset that was at fault.
Funny how a 2degrees SIM fixed my handset too!
