Today I discovered that it may actually be a PC related problem and not to do with telstra even though I thought it wouldn't be. I have a laptop next to me that is also on the same wireless network. When the internet on this PC stops, I tried it on the laptop and it worked :/ I am now thinking it is my USB adapter. When I visit a large page, my connection dies.
O.T: I don't know why my sentences randomly jump to the next line.
I still get them every now and then. Up till now I had thought it was micro-outages from TCL. But I can usually rectify the problem by power cycling my Belkin A+G router/switch. It's the third one I have had so maybe there is some slight incompatibility between the Belkin and the TCL service?
Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD. https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.
Another long outage for my TCL connection last night from around 12AM. This morning the connection is back up again but the latency is terrible. Anyone else experiencing anything similar?
Yeah TCL tech i spoke to (who actually knew what he was doing for once) said there is a problem with Motorola SB 5101 modems when used with a router. The temporary solution is to power cycle the router and modem. They are working on a fix but it involves replacing all the old model modems on their network.
