That would be the guy who works for Microsoft who possibly could have answered your query but decided not to because you insulted his employer.

It pays to be nice on this forum, and everywhere else for that matter.

As you can see, i was always polite from the beginning, wasn't I?

I really don't know "M$" has any negative meaning, I was just trying to save some typings, that is all. We always call "M$" back in my country, as you might already figured it out from my wording - I am not a native speaker. So the question for "Nathan" is why he can't just remind me that "M$" is not a good word to use? He definitely knows that I wasn't mean to say something bad to his employer.

If I was using any unsuitable word by mistake I apologize here. However, I disagree with you and I truly believe that is not a good attitude for a vendor giant like Microsoft.

Looks like they only provide downloads for 10 and 8.1 so you need to dig out whatever media you have for W7 or order a disk

The abbreviation would be MS. M$ which has always been derogatory and just because it is what you have always used does not change that.

As taken from the Urban dictionary: Short for Microsoft, used to imply Microsoft cares more for money than it does for security, stability, and anything else that could make a good Operating System

Nathan was never going to take it well and nor should he. Anyway, now you know. Please don't do it again :)

Presumably the portal gives you some kind of VLK for Win7.

If you're really stuck, I would suggest giving Microsoft a call directly.

An OEM license is only legally licensed to a specific piece of hardware, and the license is forever tied to that hardware. OP is talking about datacentre virtualisation of the OS, which is clearly not a possible use under those licensing terms. As to consequences, semi worst case is Microsoft come and do a software audit, and demand a large settlement, ultimate worst case is Microsoft sue the company and potentially individuals within it.
