Since the update I can no longer copy recordings from my Blu Ray Recorder to the PC.

I can still see it as a network device, as well as click through and browse the contents of the hard drive. But when I try a copy (which worked up until Friday) it refuses with a 0x8000000A error message.

Which is irritating - I'm back to burning optical disks to transfer anything.

I noticed the new update ui option, defer for 31 days. Effectively a monthly option.

The additional privacy controls on install are a step in the right direction.

I just rolled it back to the previous version (which fixed the problem).

I have also installed a registry update from a tech website that will (hopefully) disable updates going forward.

I am over the forced updates model!

So, for the first time I decided I'd run my Windows Tablet in "tablet mode". Went into Edge Browser, used the pen to tap the address box expecting an onscreen keyboard to appear, nothing. So I thought.. I know, I'll click the keyboard icon in the area beside the clock.. Nothing.

Anyone seen this before?

Edit: Reboot Fixed it. /me sighs

Disabling updates is not great. Your device will become unsupported and more importantly no security updates.

I'm not familiar with your issue but please log this as an issue in Feedback Hub app so Microsoft is aware of it

Wife's relatively new high-end Dell laptop updated itself to Creators over the weekend with nary a hitch, and everything is working great

@networkn I managed to get 16215 to install by uninstalling Acronis True Image. It is looking like anything that inserts itself in the boot process, such as Tru Image, or the Rapid Mode for Samsung SSDs is screwing the installation of the build so you might want to check if anything similar is running on the machine of yours that could not install it :)

Hi I run Shadowprotect and Samsung software. I am not uninstalling those, I'll just wait for the next build.

Apparently if you just disable things such as Rapid Mode it should do the trick. No need to uninstall :)

You mean "Fast Startup" in power options? With today's fast SSD and memory options you should only really need that on very slow PCs otherwise it should go the way of the old Windows 7 ReadyBoost technology...

I am having the same problem & to date still haven't been able to get the file copying to work again since the creators update.

Also Media player will lock up when trying to play the recordings from DLNA device (Panasonic recorders)

Is it too much to hope that Microsoft will fix this ?

Please disregard my previous comment - although applicable it's not directly related to Rapid Mode, which is Samsung SSD thing... But still behind the comment about no need for Fast Startup.

Interesting. I have Norton Security installed - so in theory the Windows Firewall is off. Looking at the Security Centre it says the Norton Firewall is on but looking at Windows Firewall it says the Windows one is also on...

Funny thing is... Started Spotify and Windows Firewall dialog came up asking if I wanted to let Spotify use the network - so obviously Windows Firewall is still on, despite what other parts of the OS seem to think.

I could not get the track pad on my laptop to behave correctly in Windows 10. Too sensitive, it zoom crazily and just plain annoying. I have installed Linux Mint and the track pad works perfectly.
