networkn: Anyone know other companies that price match? The $387 S3 is what I am after.

I walked into noel leeming with a print out of the HN flyer showing the s3 at $386, the salesperson wasn't too sure if they could price match today but the manager came over and marked it down without any hassle. Also got a brother printer price matched to warehouse stationary.

That is very surprising. My local Noel lemmings refused to price match anything in the HN flyer, due to them saying that their terms allowed to get out of pricematching where stock is restricted to 1 per customer. They said that as the HN brochure said that items were restricted to 'one per customer' on the brochure, that was enough for them to get out of honouring their price match guarantee.  Yet their terms said they can only get out of honouring it if it is 'limited stock', which implied to me that it was when they had only a few to sell and stock was very limited, which wasn't the case in terms of most g HN products. Noel Lemmings price promise  is so vaguely written that they could get out of price matching anything if they didn't want to. Ironically 'The Warehouse 'price matched the goods for me without any problem, even though it is owned by the same parent company. They don't seem to have the damages of fine print. Wish these price matching schemes where more regulated by the commerce commission so they are more transparent, and they can't hide behind their fine print.

Man I am going to try this tomorrow. I really want one of those S3's for my beloved.

A friend of mine got an HP Ultrabook at Warehouse Stationary, down from $1800 to around $800. Mental discount. HP ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook 4-1118tu. 14" screen, decent processor, hard drive with SSD cache of some kind.

joker97: each store is different mate :D the managers are not identical robots

It would be reasonable to expect one of the largest national chains to have just one policy regarding this simple issue though. It's not really a good look for the brand as a whole though IMO.

No, i was told that that was the same policy across all their stores, and none of their stores would be willing to honour it. I was told that they didn't have any discretion and the direction came from their head office so there is no grey areas. But as the terms are so vague, I can't see how they couldn't be open to interpretation. If they offer these sorts of guarantees, I think they need to be simple and honest about they include and exclude, so consumers aren't misled over what it covers.

Well if you go here: http://nztech.co/1d9TCwR then click on the S3 on the front page, it does say "Limited Stock. 500 nationwide."

And I'm wondering if they still have any S3s in stock tomorrow..

lhk: Hi all, this is my first post. Does anyone know any retailer doing a good deal on Macbook Pro with Retina display?

HN has $200 off Macbook air 11" but isn't what I need. A friend on the way back from Malaysia, asked him to buy me one. After googleing, found out Malaysia is the cheapest place in the world to buy one. Bought a rMBP with 8gb Ram and 256gb hd for NZ$1850. Saving of $400!! Can't be more happier.

That's great news. Just make sure the voltage on the charger is suitable for New Zealand.

Can't remember the last time I saw a laptop charger that wasn't a dual voltage one
