I'll see all your posts and raise you the latest Sonos update. What a nightmare.
This. Almost wouldn't feel so bad if the hardware was correspondingly bad.

The worst thing is when they do an app update and you have to login again, or you have been logged out for some reason. It is a hassle to then find the password and retype it in again.
Google TV had a brain dead thing where they asked you to type your google password into the system, while everyone is sitting round waiting for the movie to start or whatever it is , as well as making a note of your password perhaps?
They seem to have moved on to approving these things on your phone which then magically tells the TV it can go ahead.
It is now a lot easier with Google if you have the home app installed, you can just approve everything through the device. A pity TVNZ haven't linked it to google IMO, or if they have I haven't noticed it.
Another one- macOS window snapping is a pain in the butt. In both Windows and most major Linux window managers moving a window to the side snaps it in half, moving it to the top maximizes it and it works really well. For whatever reason apple decided to only have it in full screen mode and to snap it, you have to hold down on the maximize button and choose a side. It's awkward, doesn't work well, and swapping windows is a pain the butt. Tbh window management in macOS feels pretty crappy, which is a shame considering how great the hardware is and how nice it is to have a modern unix OS. The gestures for window snapping are great until you have 20 windows and have to scan them randomly scattered on the screen to find the right one.
A meta-question, wouldn't it be quicker to list software that isn't badly designed?

Frank Energy when you want to check your account. You are taken to the first screen to enter your email and then it takes you to another screen to put your password in, i am sure they will tell you it is for security but why are you the only ones to do it.
Unfortunately, they are not the only ones. Countdown has now started doing that as well. There are others out there.

I hate the websites that reject passwords like T%hB*cF
Surly in this era it is easy to detect that that is a highly random password, and insistence that it be changed to one including a number is not only annoying for the user, but decreases the number of possible passwords that would need to be covered in a brute force attack.
They should be hashing the password so they never store it on their system anyway. So why would they reject that password?

I know. One of my favourite web sites does that.....

Westpac One app. If you can get it to login without a white screen and dump back to login it opens to a notifications screen asking for donations to the westpac helicopter.
Microsoft Outlook's handling of calendar notifications.
There's a setting within Outlook where you can set the default reminder time for meeting notifcations. I have mine set to 5mins before the meeting because that when I like to be reminded. But does it work like you would expect it to? Hell no! The setting only applies to invites that I send. When I receive an invite from someone else the reminder for that calendar event is dictated by the default reminder time that they choose. Why are my reminder choices overridden by someone elses preferences? Unless I go through my calendar each week and clean it up I have anything from 5 minute reminders to 15minute reminders to absolutely no reminders!

Any one else find design choices in apps that drive you up the wall?
Interfaces that apply settings either immediately or when exiting the configuration page, without an OK/Apply option.
The Microsoft Office 'Ribbon'... the main reason I use OpenOffice/LibreOffice.

Possibly. I have a few regrets with my own software, but people use that functionality, so it's difficult to change without causing issues. I doubt many people read the changes from release to release.
