Disagree. Once it has left your control than any pretend that you can do anything about it is futile.

One thing I would like email to do is show me when an actual related email in my inbox is newer than the one I am looking at, since when I process emails from oldest to newest I can answer things that a later email says to not worry about and they have figured out on their own. Of course outlook adds a useless "you are not responding to the latest email" thing to emails based on randomness and this is there when it is the latest email.

An app called Scrivener has a "welcome window" that pops up if you open the app without a file loaded. In this window is a pop-up menu called "Open Recent", that shows recent projects. Meanwhile, in the File menu, there's a similar menu called "Recent Projects". The two menus claim to show the same thing, but each have different projects listed.

you can turn on conversation mode for some functionality that will cover that.  not a fan of it myself, i feel one would need a brain wired very differently to use that feature.

My god, what next.

I was driving home in my trusty Honda Jazz a few weeks back and observed that the clock on navigation system had stopped, then the clock went backwards by one minute and froze.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Funny, I was thinking Dr Who at the time.

Windows again. I copied a file from one folder to another and it asked whether I want to replace the existing one.

Idiotic design "feature" number 1: the Replace and Skip buttons are right next to each other without so much as a single pixel gap. I missed the button and clicked the wrong one.

Idiotic design "feature" number 2: when you click Skip, it still displays a "copying 1 item" window and a progress bar, despite not actually copying the file. I thought it had successfully copied and was left scratching my head when my changes didn't show up.

Modern GUIs annoy me as they take about 2x the time required to copy a bunch of file(s) in working out how long it'll take and displaying the appropriate GUI progress bar - just copy tha damned things!!!!

Mind you, I am a hard-core CLI user; ESPECIALLY on my MacBook; to the point I'll actually type commands into the shell to open applications when required - although I am somewhat reluctantly using a GUI Browser to type this message - time to go see if Lynx is available on HomeBrew!

Not sure if this is brain dead or just evil. The Facebook Messenger app doesn't have a way of logging out. You apparently have to either log out via another logged in device or browser, or use the phone's set up to delete all Messenger app data. I did the latter and now get a technical error page.

Not software but the https://freightforward.courierpost.co.nz website needs some love,

To view the history you have to open the link in another tab or it tries to load http iframe content on an https connection and it gets blocked

When trying to add addresses, it loads a transparent drop down list so you have to read text on top of text

Roomba app (Android Version).  Randomly takes users to Roomba Shop, form which there is no return to the app.  You must restart app.
