Would love to know how you have those problems, I have not seen that.

Anyway, I think I will give it a couple of weeks for the site to settle and remaining changes to be made before I re-start the work of scraping it etc for the shopping cart interatcion.

I agree let them know that they have screwed everyone with widescreens, at work and at home i use a 22" wide, and a work mate of mine uses 2x 20+ (1600x1200) screens and wow, massive bars on the sides of a square screen....

Yeah, looks bad.

Why scribble out the name of the person, when, if you cared, you could just look up the auction number and find the unscribbled name?

Think yours looks bad. Try with a widescreen! It stretches to the edge of the page and looks bloody awful haha

Wide screen is all good, but the the human eye has difficulty following long lines of text. Once you get past about one-and-a-half alphabets worth of characters, it's time to drop down to a new line.

That's why newspapers use columns... and I'm a designer for a newspaper so use that rule every day.

Ever tried reading a page of text printed on landscape-oriented paper going right across the page? Frustrating to say the least.

So while it might seem it's a waste of space, it would actually make for easier reading and better comprehension.

That actually does make sense..

But I just wish Trademe have it so it was elastic. I think I should be able to choose what size, not them have a pre determined size.

Some days i like to have a small window, some I like having a big window.

Should be my choice.
