Set2k: Anyway So Just in case anyone is consider orcon I have been with them couple months now - very happy with them.

Here some speedtests

to california at 10:20PM saturday

to wellington 10:20pm saturday

and we use about 6 TB a month now

what sort of connection is this?

The extremely rounded figures dont align with VDSL and you wont get 68Mbp/s throughput down, Maybe 66 on a good day. The upload is wrong by a country mile.

10m max as the crow flies, 30m if walking (estimates)

Really you think the upload is wrong? Everyone I know on vdsl gets a solid 10-11 mbps up

Really you think the upload is wrong? Everyone I know on vdsl gets a solid 10-11 mbps up

your speedtest shows 12 and 13 mbit.

the max the dslam will sync at for upload is 10360kbit.

so clearly theres something iffy about your speedtests, ild say the flashplayer is bursting and getting very confused.

Those speed tests look wrong.
Apart from being suspiciously round numbers, they just seem way to high for vdsl, even on a fantastic 17a connection.

flashplayer kept crashing so it was hard to do these speed tests, so maybe that is the problem? Also i do have a local web cache running (so i ignore most speedtests which are 900mbps etc)

never heard of it.... the cache expires after 12 hours so i just choose different server.

Ok So i got the cache disabled but the speed hasn't dropped much, but I don't think I would call the numbers rounded, I used a different pc this time, my other one refuses to load speedtest now (only the flash applet)

Anyway to wellington at 10:15AM Sunday

And to California at 10:20AM sunday

Both are on the unlimited plan
