Your feed off MKY/AH, Roughly 1-2KM away, (Copper distance) expected sync rate is above 5Mbp/s as the layer suggests. ADSL2+ enabled..

TimA:
krishneil: Thank you all for your help

I will go ahead with the master filter option within the next 1-6 months :P

I would suspect to see that the jack points vary if its an internal wiring issue. Speak with our helpdesk and log a fault. At the end of the day we dont want an uphappy customer or a bad impression of our service.

I get 0.4mbs per second from both 2 ports which drop connection when call comes through
I will try do another test tomorow during the day to verify since i havnt tested the 2 ports since last week
How can i contact your helpdesk?

5 Mbp/s if you have good house wiring, If your internet connection drops when a phone call is made in or out then yes more proof of poor house / wiring,

Did you review the blog post I linked you off to done by Steve Biddle?

btw what website are you using to see the cabinet map Tima ?
on your map i think it shows im connected to cabinet 1.7km away from me, therefore my friend who is 150m away from the other cabinet is clearly getting higher speeds than me.

is it possible for me to get connected onto another cabinet because i would rather be on the closer one tbh.

No you can't change cabinets and the copper cable does not always run direct to the cabinet / exchange,

You just want to get the house wiring issues sorted for a start

i've read that article before. It says that no matter how bad my house wiring is, they can install a master filter dedicated to adsl. if thats the case, i will get this done soon

thanks for that

Yes get a dedicated xDSL jack point sorted out, This is the best thing you could do to help,

Once this is done don't forget to remove all the line filters you have
