Also um... if there is something wrong with my wiring, do i just add a filiter to all the places where i have a phone plugged in?
I have 4 phones in the house with one of them shared with a computer and one of them shared with the modem, currently i use a filter for everyone of them.

Disconnect all the phones and filters, only have the modem connected, what do you get then. Have a filter on the modem if you must, its not required, but may make the physical connection easier.

I just disconnected everything and only leaving a filter on the modem as needed these are my stats:

ADSL
Type
Status No Defect
Downstream Upstream
Data rate (Kbps) 11994 945
Noise margin (dB) 11.9 16.2
Output power (dBm)19.7 12.4
Attenuation (dB) 11.5 4.7

Add one device back at and time and see which one is the problem device and filter it if needed. Nice speed gain too! if your modem is not sharing the phone socket with a phone then there is no need for a filter on that socket.

I've used one of those 2 way splitters before - filtered phone on one side and other side supposedly straight pass-through for ADSL. Knocked my connection by half.

The more inline filters you have the less effective they become, so if you have two phone devices in one place then put a splitter after the filter. If you want to get best performace from the line get a central filter installed.

That shows that your speed restirctions are internal issues within your house - this is probably the case with 90% of people who complain about "slow internet". Your connection now has a maximum speed that's over 3x faster than it was before.

As mentioned above you need to add phones and filters back one by one to find the issue.

The best way of maximising your speed is to install a central master splitter which means you don't need plug in filters. This gets around all the problems with filters and will ensure you get the maximum speed possible. Certainly if you want maximum ADSL2+ speeds a master filter is virtually essential.

Wow that's a huge gain in speed! I just recently installed a master splitter from Corys cost $68 bucks, but it has decreased my down attenuation from 26.4dB to 19.6dB, And speed from 6880 to 7616.

Any way if you don't know much about telephone wiring ect ring Telecom ask them to do it, last time I checked costs around $199.
