OK so I've taken to flushing out the build myself, doing research and lots of help. I think it's ready to order but woop appreciate all y'all running an eye over it and seeing if I've added anything I don't need to or missed something I need. All are in stock at computer lounge and it's under $4k. Thanks again for your time.

ASUS PRIME Z690-A DDR5 Gaming Motherboard

Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3600 Memory

Looks like that board only takes DDR5 RAM according to ASUS unless you get the DDR4 version which is the Z690-P

RAM, you have picked DDR4 and the motherboard is a DDR5 board. These arent compatible...

I might suggest a different brand PSU, gigabyte have been through the mud recently for their crappy power supplies. Corsair and EVGA are generally reputable brands.

Why did you pick a Sound blaster card? Is there something specific you need it for? On-board sound these days is typically very good.

Fan's, i think the case you have specced already has fans so you might not need to buy extra's

BenQ EL2870U 28" 4K HDR 1ms FreeSync Gaming Monitor is only 60Hz and only supports Freesync (AMD GFX). IMO the GTX 3060ti is not a 4k gaming card so i think its a bit of a waste getting this monitor. look for something 1440p and at least 144hz

dont need a 1000w psu 800-850w will do

how are you cooling the CPU? i dont see an AIO or an air tower cooler there

the case is white, the case fans are white but your getting black deep cool fans to go with it? the case also can only support an extra 2 fans

https://www.computerlounge.co.nz/shop/components/watercooling/all-in-one/corsair-icue-h100i-elite-capellix-white-240mm-liquid-cpu-cooler

that cooler will sort out the fan and the cpu cooler issues mentioned above and its the same brand so will work nicely with the other stuff.

why do you need a sound card? onboard audio is pretty good these days and unless your an audiophile you would probably get an external one anyways.

you also literally picked the only Z690 asus motherboard that doesnt have wifi

I was wondering about the motherboard of it was backwards compatible or not. Was thinking future proofing but not wanting to go to DDR5 ram yet.

I wasn't sure if there was onboard sound and WiFi that's why I added those. If it's got onboard sound then I'll leave that off.

The PSU I'm completely flexible about. I was using one of the computer lounge pre build as my guide but changing out the storage, the water cooling, and other things I can't remember.

So I'll be doing some editing. Changing the motherboard to a DDR4 and different brand of CPU. Adding a CPU fan, didn't realise this one didn't have one already, as I don't like the idea of liquid cooling we aren't going to overclock wouldn't even know how.

Picked the case because of the air flow not the color, don't care what color it is. So I'll do some more tweeking and come back 😊

an AIO (all in one) is more like a traditional fan cooler than a water cooling setup, its all contained in one unit and there is no water to deal with.

honestly go for a prebuilt.

My 2c.

Save some coin and reduce to 16gb ram.

Get the Phanteks Eclipse P360A case, which has fans included and good airflow and a bit cheaper.

Scrap that monitor, it is only 60hz, my son is a pretty good gamer and he says refresh rate makes a big diff. Look for the dell S2721DGF on sale for $550'ish.

Dump the soundcard.

Get a cheaper psu, eg, Cooler Master MWE Gold 850W, probably 750w is more than enough too.

2tb nvme? 1tb is much cheaper, and maybe you can upgrade to a 3080 gfx card with the savings you made. You can always add another ssd later too.

I've really tried with the prebuit but I need to do to much tweeking. I have looked but there are suppliers I will not deal with, prior bad experience. The last computer was a prebuit with just a couple of changes, paid for assembly but arrived minus the graphic card we'd paid for. Just an empty box. Still had to have someone else assemble it and install windows, which was all supposed to be done.

Just to clear up the Freesync part, both nvidia and AMD graphics cards support freesync now.

But i also agree, it would be better to get a 1440p 144Hz display rather than a 4k 60Hz that the graphics card will struggle to keep up with.

That's a 1080p monitor not 1440p. If the budget extends to 1440p it is worth it at 27".  But get a decent IPS fast refresh rate one not a VA panel even a "144Hz VA".

I'd personally go for a Corsair PSU.  They have a good reputation for a reason.  I've got a 550watt Corsair unit running a 3700x and a 3070 zero issues despite all the stuff you read about needing 700w+.

Get rid of the TP Link archer wifi, that motherboard has WIFI built in. Also please dont use wifi if anyone is gaming. its a poor experience.

One thing i cant see from a quick glance is how many fans the motherboard supports. The case includes 2 and you are buying 3. So check on the manufacturers website and if you need to get a fan splitter.

e.g https://www.computerlounge.co.nz/shop/components/watercooling/accessories/ekwb-ek-cable-y-splitter-3-fan-pwm-black-10cm

Also monitor's

Prefer IPS if you can, otherwise there are some VA panels about the same price.

Yeah I don't understand what P is sorry. I can't see anything on the discription that would shorted to P. I'll look at the corsair PSU.

So
BenQ EX2780Q 27" QHD 5ms 144Hz IPS Gaming Monitor
Is a good monitor? I get the Hz thing but not the "P". I see where I can choose IPS or VA so I can do that.
