Just a quick question/verification... Does this telecom update (in tonyhughes links) include/enable the GPS?

As I mentioned before... I followed the instructions here:

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/tonyhughes/6309

Pretty straightfoward... only issue was the whole not being able to make or received phonecalls and txts, but that was "easily" fixed by calling Telecom and getting them to reset things on their end (basically swapping ESN/number to dummy phone and back again)...

Since then, no issues... well apart from all of the 'normal' WinMo bugs Tongue out

haha fair enough
Did telecom mind having to reset things on their end?
did they charge you any?

Nope... but we have "Managed Customer Care" via Gen-I, thanks to the company spending vast sums of money on telecommunications with them every month...

TBH, they shouldn't charge... it is an "official" upgrade after all.

Besides, its no different from ringing them and saying I just bought a new phone, please move my phone number over it... and then when thats done ringing them and saying "I changed my mind... move it back" ;)

So you just followed the steps of that link above and all worked well. After you transferred the number that is?

Yup... works fine!

Edit: the only thing extra I did was turn off aGPS in registry. xda tells you what to do! (unless this was mentioned in the tonyhughes walkthru)
