Also, did you test your cable tester with a patch cord to check for blown LEDs?
As for 568A vs 568B it is a preference, in NZ we use 568A.
I have two of those as well and had been trying to use them but there wasn't enough clearance in the keystone jacks I had to insert them fully. I'll give those a crack with the new Dynamix ones when they arrive. I did check the cable tester on a factory patch cord and it worked as intended, no blown LED's.
I did a bit of reading (mainly US based sites) and came to the conclusion that the B standard was the way to go, have to admit never actually looked for NZ specifically. Have noted that there are far more accessories for the A standard available in NZ than B.
