Only if those units are in bridge mode. 

 

If you are in Mesh mode, you can connect remote units using Wifi or ethernet. Using ethernet as backhaul will give significant performance improvements and also allows remote units to work where there is no direct wifi coverage from the primary unit.

When you had data outlets around the house opting for a mesh based solution was the wrong approach - you would always have a vastly superior WiFi network utilising cabled AP's

 

You could deploy cabled AP's for less than the cost of what Google WiFi costs.

Awesome thanks my ISP has offered to put their router in to bridge mode so this looks like the config I'll go with.
