I don't understand... BlueSoleil does support Serial Profile, and this is all you need for synchronisation (be it ActiveSync, Hotsync or the any other program that requires a serial connection).

Are you sure you have created the appropriated port (incoming or server), configured the software to use this port, and connected to the phone? Some software (including Widcomm) requires a manual connection first time so the software "learn" what ports to use when a new software starts - true for things like MobileEdit! and FMA for example.

I also bought two of these ES-509 and have the same problem with Windows 2000. The Widcomm software CD you get does not have the right security key (license.dat) for this device! I need Widcomm drivers to have it work with headset function in Phonecontrol with my Nokia 6230. There must be a crack or something to solve this problem!

Can you return the devices and try another brand?

I don't know, but this is just a software issue...I can get it to work with the other supplied software. This software sux and I can't use the headset function so I need to get Widcomm drivers to work.

What other software? Is the Widcomm not the original one?

I also got a cd with BlueSoleil...something...its crap, but is the only thing that works with this dongle so far...If I could get a Widcomm license key for the EC-509 I think it would work fine.

Widcomm software is available to licenced manufacturers. The Device Id must be in the oem.inf file and match a licence id on the licence.dat file.

It sounds like either this is not the original software, or this company is not licenced to used the Widcomm software. If this is the case, better return it and buy a Bluetake or TDK.

I don't think this is the original software. I got it sent to me on a plain CDR. Damn, returning these to Hong Kong is more in shipping than they costs :( Why did I buy TWO of these!!??

If any one have a solution on this license key, PLEASE share!
