Here is another robot vacum story for you. But I can't under stand why you would leave a pot on your stove and go out?

We have a Karcher RC3000, we have a couple of German Shepherds so there is a fair amount of dog hair. It wont clean the carpet if its covered in hair which is rare unless we have been lazy, but if it is run every couple of days it stays on top of it. It has a docking station which sucks the dirt out of it so it can go all day if need be, but usually a few hours will have the room looking as good as the big vacuum. Yeah we have heaps of disposable income.

Ours is a retrieverdor. Soooo much dog hair. And it's all lightly coloured. :-/

That's the reason the LG runs daily.

Lemming77: Ha - you are of course right but more a case of stupidity than lots of disposable income.
Maybe I could give it to the missus for her birthday :-)

The gift that goes on sucking?

I'll get my coat

love my roomba 780.  runs every weekday at 1pm.   does a great job, traditional vacuum use to leave my carpet all fluffy.

it occasionally gets stuck in a room (if a door wasnt opened all the way and it pushed the door closed), occasionally under my couch which is about .5cm too short off the ground for it to get right under.  but those are rare, maybe twice a month.  just means i have to pick it up and put it back on its base station.  which is eaiser than actually doing hte vacuuming ;)

How much you buy the roomba for? I did a drunken purchase one night and got a basic model. No remote, but when I went to send it back they offered 25% off....

I think the NZ agents have been sold a couple of container loads of their old models to see if they can get rid of them!
We have just imported the new model Roomba 870 - totally brilliant and significantly upgraded and the Beam central vac will be put out to pasture (ok maybe brought in to do the stairs).

Why work on Wednesday and stuff up 2 good long weekends

I have a Roomba.

Best purchase ever!! We have a fluffy cat that leaves fur every where. Normal vacuum was always such a pain. Now the Roomba whips around every monday and thursday. No more fluff!!

Then it's just a case of whip around the edges and up high with a little hand held 'dust buster' -which seldom happens if I'm honest haha.
