Doesn't really help right now either, but our company has had great results getting interns via SoT: https://summeroftech.co.nz/

2 out of 3 interns we hired through them the past summer, we've offered them a perm positions at the end of their tenure. The final intern had to leave as he still had 2 years of uni left!

Might be worth getting him/others looking into it as well.

I'll also ask some connections in Auckland and see if they have anything for him.

I am not sure if this is helpful. I read an article once about a guy that had aspergers.

He literally forced himself to learn social skills so people would accept him.

Sorry I don't know the reference or the name of the article, but is it possible for the guy to have some sort of social skills training and role playing social situations.

People who don't have Asperger's get taken advantage of as well. And "normal" people say and do stupid things as well or even better than people with Asperger's.

As a bankrupt (different of course than being a person with aspergers) but I have learned that sometimes we just have to do what is required if we are to succeed and have any sort of quality of life.

Regardless of what disabilities we have that will remain with us for life, and we all have something, we just do whatever it takes. If it means living and being a certain way to be able to survive, so be it.

I am forced to live differently because I am bankrupt, I don't like it but if its the only way to survive in this world, then that is what I must do.
