nztim - any chance you could post a link to another post?  Sorry non-tech mum trying to help out her kids over there.  They have switched on VoLTE calls, data roaming on, network (tried both auto connect and manual).  Is there some other setup needed?

@MelWyl77 sorry didn't see you request for previous topics on the matter, here you are

A quick google shows the A13 supports esim, so https://www.airalo.com/ is a viable solution.

not the NZ model

Its amazing how we have not really moved forward on universal bands for handsets outside of flagship devices. I mean its not viable for the average punter to understand any of this.

Well there are different models around the world, 2-3 usually for android devices with different frequency specs and also slightly different hardware specs. so one might have dual sim + E sim, another single + esim, or ive also seen dual esim.

Kind sucks in some ways, and apple seem to do that side of things better.

That's the premium. You buy a cheaper handset, they keep costs down with less capable radios. You pay top dollar for an iPhone, and you know the radio is going to have a much wider band set.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!
