I spoke to soon (bugger)

The dish is working, that's Good.

The problem now is with the set top box. I entered the TP settings, did a blind scan it worked through the scan until about 70% and then spat the dummy.

I have two Dish TV boxes that dont work at the moment

1. S707rHD-XM

2. SNT7070

I can get new Dish TV boxes

1. SAT1 (Noel Lemming)

2. SNT7070HbbTV Full HD 1080p

I understand the quality of the box impacts SAT19

What do you mean by spat the dummy? Is it giving an error? A blind scan doesn't use transponder settings - that what the blind bit means, looking to see what is there.

Did you look at the attached screen shot? above it shewed the box scanning when it hit 70% the screen when blank and an error message turned up (spat the dummy)

Yes. Given the error message isn't in it though, you're going to have to provide some more details.

If neither box works then you don't have a proper signal and things still need adjusting. %70 means little, due to parameters some signal need %90 quality to give a picture

Also you havn't given any feedback as to if you can load those other transponder that I gave

That why do a full blindscan/search

12726 H should easily load before the other will

interesting enough it did a full search gave an error message (your set top box is unable to receive a signal, please check your cable/sat dish)

but its now actually working, wont play 12606 even though I saw it on the search.

I would expect the LNBF skew is still your issue, there are signals 12580-12610 V if the lnbf is not precisely skewed they will null out your 12606 H signal

Go in your transponder menu and manually add 12606 H with all the parameters , then flick it to V pol if you still have quality in v pol then you need to adjust the skew

also check quality on these freqs

12591 V Sr 7200 Fec 5/6 DVB S2 8PSK
12600 V Sr 7200 Fec 5/6 DVB S2 8PSK
12609 V Sr 7200 Fec 5/6 DVB S2 8PSK

I altered the Horizontal to vertical the signal disappeared.

I can get other TVs on Sat 19 but I specifically need/want 12606 H 30000 as I have an Radio system that broadcast 3ABN Australia Radio

the picture below shows part of a scan, you can see 3ABN Australia Radio listed. For this I did Sat 19 scan

the picture below I set up a new Satellite and only had 1 TP 12606 H 30000. Still wont play

The picture is pretty blury, but are you saying when you do a scan, then channel you want does show in the scan? If so, then what's the exact problem? Will it not play when you tune to that channel? Or does it tune but only work intermittantly?

Can you get the vertical transponder i mentioned or not?

at the moment 12686 H broadcasts are all fta, you should be able to see them as well

You should also be able to easily see this permanent transponder on vertical with channel 9 australia news feeds

@apsattv is the specifc radio station the OP is looking for still broadcasting on that TP?

I'm confused as it seems to show up in a scan but they can't tune it.

My recent scan got 193 service loading!

Phillip can you give a bit more feedback? in particular DO you have video OR radio working on ANY channel there? And can you even see the vertical transponder that I asked about?

I did change the transponder from Horizontal to Vertical and the signal fell right off.

On my home TV/Freeview box, Sat 19 is now working all TVs channels are going so I did another scan and the radio on 12606 H 30000 is now going

I now have to figure out whats different to see if I can get the Radio channel going on my other set up.

One thing that seems to create some issues is that D1 and Sat 19 settings are very close when trying to set the dish

skew is about 6 looking from the back of the dish and about mid point on the LNB for the bracket
