NZtechfreak: Had my first play with one of these today, man this is A GREAT device. I want one now, but can't justify it at all unfortunately. I think the best non-phablet class handset on Android this year.

Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with mine - almost got a Z1 (thought about waiting for the Z1 compact too) but glad I decidd on the G2.

Just got mine today - can't wait to get into it!

As a side note, anyone know of decent cases and how we can get them in NZ?? Looking for feedback - i'm prone to 'occasionally' drop mine after a few etc, have a decent case would be helpful.

I want to stray away from the TPU stuff - would rather pay $20-$30 and get something decent. Recommendations??

I haven't seen any accessories locally - Harvey Norman might have some, I guess.

I ordered one of these and am very happy with it - http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Luxury-Matte-Ultra-thin-Plastic-Case-For-Lg-g2-Super-Shield-Back-Case-For-Lg-G2/1468400440.html

Just saw this website today. Wanted to let you guys know. I haven't personally purchased anything from them yet though.

I've purchased from their UK website, they're fine.

Hey guys quick question. I have just bought a G2 from Expert Infotech but it has the HKG firmware on it. Any idea's on flashing the SEA firmware on? Will it work? Will this void the warranty etc? Im new to flashing LGs have come from an HTC One X

I got mine just before Christmas, and have only good things to say about it - great battery, surprisingly impressive camera, good screen/device size ratio. Included headphones are very decent too.

Re: cases, I just had an Incipio Brig arrive from Amazon - about $25 landed. Very happy with it so far - not too bulky, improves the grip a lot (not that I found it a great problem), and looks good (my phone now has somewhat of an early Imac look - white with turquoise case). Haven't tested the impact resistance - cross fingers.

Will have to check out that case. I grabbed the Spigden Slimarmor. Adds some thickness to it, but I worry more for the ground than my phone when it's dropped.

Can anyone recommend any decent glass protectors for the G2? Personal experiences etc? Waiting for my slim armour spigen case to show up as well - sort me out.

KitKat is out for the SEA region devices. Note that there isn't an easy root available (and SuperSU persistence/OTA Rootkeeper didn't work for me) so if root is important you may want to hold off for now.

Otherwise it feels a little bit snappier.
