What sort of battery life do you get Wade?

Up until today I am getting

1~1.5% drop per hour overnight
2.5~3% drop per hour during the day
4.5~6% drop per hour with plenty of use

Over the course of a normal day I am getting 24hrs life and thats including anywhere between 1.5~2hrs of on screen time usually on auto setting, push mail, auto updates on etc, i usually have wifi off though

Today is another issue! I installed a couple of apps, updated G+ app and added a new theme so one of these is the likely drain suspect

Ah I'm trying to get 3+hrs before it dies. So far I've been able to get up to 3hrs over a day but end up having to charge before bed. I had an 8% drop over 7hrs overnight with Wifi/3G and Sync fully enabled - I noticed in the graph there was a large period of awake time during the period :S

What's listed in your Running Services??

Also, have you tried leaving it overnight in flight mode to see what effect that has?

I'll have to try flight mode tomorrow. I did a partial charge early this evening so I'm going to drain it flat before bed.

Flashed Kernael Version 2.6.35.14 slyah-v1.8, build DlevROM2 3.1 K14 Edition, BB XXK14 with CWM a couple of days ago, battery life looks good , 30+ hours with everything running display on max, no problems with modem / GPS etc..

Should have found EDT tweaks with it but can't, launcherPro is totally different to ADW, but different doesn't mean bad, took a couple of hours to get everything up and running, all totally good.
Pleased with the swap

lokhor: Man I've tried a few different roms and I'm still getting massive Android OS Process battery drain and my wakelocks are not very apparent. Currently Android OS has used 35% of my battery with 1h10m CPU usage over a 12h period.

Currently using CheckROM Revolution v2.0 with Speedmod K2-13 Kernel.

What are betterbatterystats and CPU Spy telling you about wakelocks?

CPU Spy said overnight I had about 80% deep sleep. The wakelocks don't show anything using up a large amount of CPU with mainly twitter and google sync using a couple of minutes of cpu each.
The battery graph showed a large period overnight where the screen was off, but the device was awake. Can't figure out what is doing it. May need to try another rom - I have a hunch about Jkay deluxe themes.

Having the same issue here on my S2. A liitle different environment though,

Litening ROM v6.1 XXKH3, ninphetamine 2.0.5 kernel and XXKI4 modem. 3G on, no FB,twitter or Wifi usage, last 1 week it has started losing heaps on battery life all of a sudden. Betterbatterystats not showing anything significant but android OS claiming bulk of battery usage (from 40-70 %!!!) and phone staying awake in the stats. CPU spy on the other hand shows deep sleep used about 80% state. Doesnt make sense to me. Any guidance?

I think could be an app that I updated? Dont know...

That sounds eerily similar to my symptoms. I wonder if it's an app causing it...

Maybe you guys need to compare apps and see if you have some in common?

I find battery life improves dramatically if I switch off wifi. I tend to run everything on all the time, wifi, bluetooth etc and hardly ever turn stuff off.

I'm running Siyah 2.1 RC3 at the moment, and battery life looks pretty good. I'm losing about 1% per hour, but that's on WiFi with 4 email accounts (including Hotmail via Social Hub) plus Twitter and Google+ push notifications. (Screen on time is only around 1 minute, otherwise I'd be down a couple of extra percent)

Siyah 2.1 final has just been released, and is worth looking it if you're running 1.8.

Update: Looks like people are complaining about the 2.1 final release. RC3 is still available for download.
Update 2: The version in the first post of the XDA thread has been updated, and should fix the issues that people were seeing with it.

I know!! I am pretty sure it has to be after updating an existing app to newer version that is causing this.

Here are few screenshots of my battery use and stats in real time i.e. NOW - Tell you what, it has been much worse, I swear!

And as you can see, no GPS, no WIFI, no FB,twitter sync, only 4 email accounts on Push every 4 hours. No apps running in the background. 3G remains on 24/7.

First issue I can see is that you're not stepping down to 100Mhz, which certainly won't be helping.  What clock/volt settings are you running, and what governor/scheduler?  Are you on Telecom or VF/2 degrees?

And can you give us a list of your running services?

sorry guys i have an issue with titanium backup paid version. every few weeks i can't get paid version, only free version shows up. ok so i "update" the darn thing and everytime i open it it says "checking licence" and goes no further. then when i'm sick of it i restore to a cwm backup (obviously will be an older version Phew) which worked and then a few weeks and then it decides to go back to the free version.

using cognition 1.42 with KH3 modem.

anyone has this problem>???

(note done clearing cache and clearing all kinds of stuff, uninstalled and reinstalled etc, nothing)
