Is there a way to see battery percentage in stock 4.1?

Is there jkay deluxe framework for this stock Rom xwlsd and will any jb framework work?

How do I make cwm appear in the apps menu rather than rebooting to cwm

Battery percentage mods usually appear on XDA pretty quickly for stock rooted phones. Just search there for battery percentage mod.
No. He said he'd work on developing one once the official JB was released, but I can't imagine that'll happen in a hurry. It took several months for his ICS release.
You need the CWM Manager app to have it appear in the app drawer. Either restore it from an old back-up or find the apk somewhere.

You've let the rom settle for a few days and gone through the usual BBS/CPUSpy logs to see if there's a rogue app causing issues?

I installed stock lsd + philz kernel all was fine until i signed in to samsung account and the wifi download indicator would not go away.

Restored back to 2.3.6 and flashed wanamlite which is actually pretty stock lsd + philz kernel and this time did not sign in to samsung.

Battery life is good. No drain. Everything set to push.

Hope its the samsung acoount for you ...

Hey all,

Been trying to weed my way through the Forums but is heavy work. I'm after some advice. I have a Telecom S2 Gt-19100t running on a Vodafone Sim. It is just starting to give me a few freezes and restarts and even after a clean up runs like a laggy little granny sometimes. I would love to learn how to install some of these custom Roms and Root the device to get rid of some of the preinstalled crapware on it. My question is as a noobie, can anyone suggest a good How-to for my device, ie how to root this particular Telecom SG2 then the safest possible method with easy to follow steps for installing a custom Rom and which ROM people have found best. Plus does the "T" on the end of the model number make a difference when installing custom Roms? I know this may be covered in the forum so I will continue to try and weed my way through and make sense of it. Thanks for any helpful answers in advance.

There is this, but the original S2 guide created by Brendon is currently proving impossible to find. That'll get you rooted, then you'll need to look at apps like Titanium Backup to save all your app data (paid app but worth it). Once you've done that you can look at new roms. The choice is huge and it really depends what you want. Features and themes vary so knowing what you'd like is important. I'd suggest something like Neatrom or Wanamlite (both on XDA) to start with. Both are more or less tweaked versions of the stock rom with mods available.

Being a T-model doesn't really matter, but knowing your current baseband (modem) will help to ensure you can put the same modem back later.

This is one of many ways.

1) go to settings at the bottom click on information and find your build number and write down the last five things

2) root it using the matching rooted kernel. Best best is chainfire kernel google it. You will need the rooted kernel, samsung kies (for the phone driver so your computer can see and do things to your phone) and odin (the program that performs surgery to transplant the rooted kernel)

3) go to wanamlite.com and get s2 14.1 and download to phone. Flash it.

This is a start, ask questions so we can help you progress thru the steps

Or just use this for a start. Very fast and good overall. This is stock.

The difference between this and the wanamlite is not much if you are noob but wanamlite 14.1 has a few more tweaks but pretty stock on the inside

It makes a huge difference if you want high speed mobile data...

I have tested this.. A LOT... And If you don't use a T specific modem (aka baseband)... Chances are you won't be able to get 3G connection... I did some extensive research, and found that apparently the T has some extra hardware on the antenna to tweak it for better performance on the Telecom/Telstra 3G network bands (850MHz from memory)... I cant find the source for that at present...

BUT I have tried the ever popular BVLP7,the latest XXLS8 (from official international 4.1.2 releases) and a few others from this collection... The only ones that give reliable 3G service are the i9100T specific ones... And then, I have found the one from the last official telecom release DOLP4 to be the best)

Having said that, modems seem to be fussy... And the best for one user/network may not be the best for another...

FWIW, I am on 2degrees... With an i9100T... In Auckland...

Yes modem. The rom doesn't matter. If you can flash a rom you can flash a modem with your eyes closed.

Carry on flashing. Btw the stock rom as listed above is a no wipe when I flashed with odin it kept everything. But you must never rely on that always backup.

I still recommend wanamlite 14.1 however if you can manage to root your current phone with cwm recovery

The xxls8 that came with 4.1.2 gives me superior reception to dolp4 but haven't tested speed. I'm I using a t model phone
