In my search for a phone/tablet which is not going to stretch my budget too much I have just discovered the Asus Fonepad 32GB 3G

Basically i have been looking for something that I can take on my trip to UK & Russia & looking to minimise my gadgets, but require a device to replace my old phone & laptop. Not so worried about the photo capability as I may pack a small camera I am accustomed to.

Has anyone any knowledge of this device or bought one, i think it has only just been released & maybe not available here yet.

As I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to technology I would welcome any comments or advice. I did make a previous post & received some suggestions but I need to make phone calls so require more than a tablet.

Not sure if it the same

This is where I found it & read the specs, but as I am a complete novice was hoping it would be suitable for my needs.

Johnr, there are subtle differences in name, and significant difference in the devices, between a fonepad and a padfone!
