Bought a Hero 4 silver mid 2016, making it just over a year and a half old. It has been kept in mint condition. It now will not turn on, after charging a battery.

My question is, Is a year and a half a reasonable amount of time for a GoPro? GoPro has a global 1 year warranty but I feel that a year and a half is defiantly not a reasonable amount of time.

Thoughts? Will I have any luck taking it back to Infotech?

Might be the battery at fault.  Try another battery first.

Have tried another battery and to no avail, fully charged with external charger.

Yes I think it should last longer. I would take it back for sure.

Try doing a hard reset.
