I have been happily using Netflix via a Roku 3 for some months and tonight Netflix geoblocked me with a 'not available in your territory yet' message. The latest Roku software update was in October and I use Netflix daily.

I'm using getflix to bypass blocking and Netflix works fine on PC, Apple TV and mobile.

Please help...

Try setting static route's of both Google DNS address 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in your router at home to 2 x local IP's (one for each Google DNS address) that you cannot ping so it does not go anywhere. I had to do this with Roku 3 and Netflix, DishWorld few months ago to make it work again.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Happened to me yesterday on my Roku 3.
just blocked 8.8.8.8 and worked perfectly again.

Blocking Google DNS isn't the best way of doing it, a static route is the best way to go.

Unrelated - as it turns out Geekzone works 100% fine on the Nintendo 3DS...

billgates: Try setting static route's of both Google DNS address 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in your router at home to 2 x local IP's (one for each Google DNS address) that you cannot ping so it does not go anywhere. I had to do this with Roku 3 and Netflix, DishWorld few months ago to make it work again.

Does anyone know how I can do this on my Spark Technicolor TG589vn v2? Setting up the addresses for Getflix initially was difficult enough :/

Works on my nexus 7, but doesn't work on my note 4 now either, so it's not just the roku

Happened to me as well. Roku's Netflix app now seems to be connecting to Google's DNS (8.8.8.8)
This is the settings I've applied on the Netcomm Wireless which seems to fix the issue.
Just make sure you know your router's gateway address, you can find it by typing ipconfig on your command prompt.

Thanks to all for the assist. Works a treat - changed the static route for 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to 255.255.255.255 and are cooking with gas. For those with an Asus RT-AC66u see http://www.thegoss.net/content/hardware/asus-rt-n66u-router for help.

Same issue here.
I have an asus n12u, but can't work out how to set the static route. any body else managed to?

Dolts: I couldn't find static routes on the HG659

You need to log in as the admin but I don't advise doing it. For some reason it stops Apple devices connecting vis wifi.

Some devices won't work (Android Netflix for example) if you block Google DNS, routing it gives the impression Google DNS still works.

Can anyone help me? Fiance getting antsy that Netflix is still unavailable.. i tried the instructions i linked to, but it didn't like intf=Internet. I read someone else used intf=PPPoE instead, but haven't tried that for myself.

I did a DNS flush, re added the Geflix DNS addresses, and then tried the rtadd using 8.8.8.8/32 etc, but again not working.

This is the list i get, is there a problem because the ones i've added have metric=3, and it looks as though there might be original listings there with metric=0?

Any help would be briliant!

To add a little more info, the devices i'm accessing Netflix on are PC, Nexus 7, Samsung Note 4 and Roku 3. All of them were working well until a few days ago. Yesterday and today, the PC and Nexus 7 were able to access Netflix, but other devices came up with a regional error notice. On the Nexus 7, sound had become crackly, and when pushing the back button to exit a program, the app would crash. I attributed that to the 5.0.1 update, but just now uninstalled and reinstalled the Netflix app, and now get a regional error notice on that as well.

Frustrating! So the only thing that can stream Netflix now is my laptop.
