I'm no expert but this doesn't look normal.

I guess the question is why does my connection turn to custard from 5pm onwards. You can see the horrible loss etc.

ADSL2, Spark HG630b, wired, google dns (8.8.8.8)

Sparks are just as bad, i found google's "better" of the two bads.

Fiber will be installed within the next 2 weeks. We just moved into the new house and put ADSL2 in place for the time being. Put the order for fiber through as soon as we moved in.

Is it related to the Netflix effect? I recall glimpsing an article that ISPs were noticing big slowdown with online videos during peak times.

I can't even reply to this topic anymore lol. Internet is broken.

I have noticed gaming is fine. A solid 60 ping to AU League of legends servers - zero jitter.

It's browsing that has gone down hill. gpforums, reddit, facebook etc are all broken, barely load, or load reaaaaaally slowly.

Location? I wonder if you're on a congested Conklin (maybe not if you're getting fibre).

Still having issues. This has been ongoing for over 2 weeks. Would like to get this resolved even if i am moving to fiber once the ONT etc is installed either this week or next

I've noticed international traffic seems a lot slower in the evenings in the last two weeks. I have no tests to support this, just noticed things take longer at peak time to load. Even Lightbox sometimes buffers which i've never had before. Spark VDSL, capped plan (not unlimited)

I have no idea. Help desk is never very helpful so i don't bother. Would rather communicate directly with staff members on both here and gpforums.

Sorry, although I have done so in the past, I'm unable to escalate anything now without a case logged with the helpdesk. It's too hard to pass it off and escalate without a case number.

Feel free to PM me if you can find the time to log an issue.

Cheers - N

its not a matter of time, its a matter of the phone support is an absolute joke. You might as well be speaking Spanish to half of them. I understand they type your question into a computer and read out the generic response but you would think they would have at least a basic understanding of computing...

I'd have to say I've found Spark's helpdesk one of the more easy to deal with. You need to accept you will need to log a call if you want help here and it's a perfectly reasonable request.
