So I ring the roaming helpdesk to set it up. They said there is no longer roaming support for prepaid customers and that I'd have to change to a postpaid plan if I want to roam internationally.
Then I ring the postpaid department and ask to have my phone put on OneBill on my landline account (I'm a light user and don't want or need a larger contract plan), but they said no. The reason being I don't have my direct dial tolls with Telecom. That's odd I'm thinking because I already have a different (my partners) phone on Onebill. She said that I can no longer have it on OneBill because of my toll calling not being with tcom. It's interesting because I cannot find anywhere online that says tolls are required to have OneBill. Currently I pay ~$120/Month on line rental, caller id etc. and my partners phone.
I then ring the roaming helpdesk back and explain my situation. No further help. My only option to get international roaming is to change my tolls provider back to tcom (to go on OneBill and get a loan phone) or use vodafone.
I'm really disappointed in telecom, and am considering changing my landline account to vodafone where everything will just work.
Argh!!
